When sewing, people face problems when the thread gets entangled in the bobbin case or under the fabric. Most times, it happens because the bobbin is loaded inappropriately in the machine.

Method 1: Put A Bobbin Case In A Top-Loading Machine
Here is the procedure for the drop-in or top-loading technique, and it is easy. Every machine looks different, so you must be sure that yours is drop-in loading.
Step 1: First, push the lever or button to release the cover of the bobbin and follow the manual to check the direction. It can either be on the right or to the left.
Step 2: Take out the bobbin cover, following which the built-in bobbin case will be visible.
Step 3: Hold onto the case and take out the entire piece of thread towards you.
Step 4: After that, you must put the bobbin inside the case and hold it in the place properly. Use your left index finger to hold, and the right hand must bring the thread to the left direction,
Step 5: Mostly, two slots are present, and you have to make the thread go out through the first and then come back in the second.
Step 6: Again, put the thread back to the second slot and get the thread to the machine back using your left hand.
Step 7: Using the left hand, as you hold the thread from the bobbin in place, you must put the cover of the bobbin in the proper location through your right hand.
Step 8: It shows how the thread will come out of the space between the needle plate and bobbin cover.
Step 9: If you are unable to see the thread, you must start threading the machine.
Step 10: Using your left hand, you can hold the top thread while lowering the needle slowly.
Step 11: Use the balance wheel to get the needle below and raise it as per your requirements.
Step 12: By this time, the top thread must have already pulled the bobbin thread. If you check carefully, you will find the top thread has looped below the needle.
Step 13: Now, you must use your left hand and hold both threads while pulling them back below the presser foot. The process takes place via the opening and then to the back left.
Step 14: After that, start sewing, and you will see the machine is operating perfectly fine. If it does not, then either the thread is not put in the bobbin properly or for other reasons.
Step 15: If it happens, you can start stitching again in your sewing machine.
Method 2: Put A Bobbin In A Front-Loading Machine
In case the above steps do not let you put the bobbin case, you should go with this. Before moving ahead, always remember to check the instruction guide as all machines are not the same.
Step 1: Locate the loading area first to access the box, and in many sewing machines, you may have to take out the accessory compartment first.
Step 2: By doing so, you can open the free arm. You will see a little hinged cover opening to the bobbin.
Step 3: And then, you can open the cover by simply tapping and accessing the bobbin case.
Step 4: Once you do, you can view the entire setup from the side. Now you have to lift the metal latch, and following this, you can see.
Step 5: If you find it difficult to understand which metal latch is, check the manual. You can see a diagram with the names of every part that will guide you.
Step 6: It will help you understand which one you must lift to take it out. It is exactly at the center, and by pressing, you can carry out the process.
Step 7: As you complete, pull out the bobbin case inside, seeing the bobbin.
Step 8: Turn it upside down, following which you will see the bobbin has fallen out.
Step 9: Take it out and remove the tail completely from the bobbin case. Hold the new bobbin so that the thread comes out in the clockwise direction to the left.
Step 10: Again, place the bobbin inside the case while keeping the thread in the clockwise direction only.
Step 11: Pull the thread slowly via the slot beside the bobbin case edge and keep it below the flat finger.
Step 12: Make sure you pull the thread before it slips out into the opening case side.
Step 13: You will find that two little teeth are visible at the finger end reaching into the opening and around the edge.
Step 14: You have to pull the thread through the teeth, and as it happens, you will hear a click sound.
Step 15: With that, now your bobbin case is ready to be installed in its place.
Step 16: Now, hold the case in a way that the hinge latch is towards you. Place a finger, so the bobbin does not come out and fall, and you have to perform the above steps again.
Step 17: Inside the shuttle, you have to position the bobbin case with the long finger pointing upwards.
Step 18: Rotate, push the case or make necessary adjustments before it snaps in the exact location.
Step 19: If you find that it is in place, the bobbin case has been loaded successfully.
Step 20: Now it’s time to check if the machine is functioning properly, so pull the thread.
Step 21: Using your left hand, hold the piece of thread to the left and raise and lower the needle. It will help the bobbin case move around, and your job is to see if it is rotating properly.
Step 22: If it gets stuck, you have to take out the entire bobbin case again and follow the process.
Step 23: While you start operating, you will see the thread from the case gets pulled up from the right direction to the left.
Step 24: By using your right index finger, pull the thread via the presser foot opening. It will pull the thread from the needle below the needle plate.
Step 25: Now, you must pull the threads below the presser foot via the opening and pull towards the left.
Step 26: After everything is done, you must cover the case just like you opened it and keep the accessory box in place.
Step 27: Now your machine is ready, and you can start sewing.
Things To Remember While Removing The Bobbin Case
Note a few things you must keep in mind while removing the bobbin case. By doing so, you can stop spoiling the entire machine.
Switch Off The Machine First
If the thread gets stuck or due to any other problem, your machine has stopped working, you must take out the bobbin case. But before that, you must switch off the machine.
Do not start any step without turning it off. This is the first step you should follow, irrespective of whether it is a first or top-loaded machine.
Check The Manual
Simultaneously, check the model to verify where the bobbin case is. Also, know the names of every part as it will help you understand which part you should take out now.
